0 % shrinkage at high temperatures
Specially selected wetblue calf splits (only first splits are used) are finished in our partner tannery Artner in Upper Austria with our own developed tanning and dyeing procedure. This special procedure guarantees the highest value in the areas of flame and water resistance, as well as shrink characteristics.
The ISO 17493 (partial test of EN 659:2003) permits shrinkage up to 5 %. All ESKA models are verifiably certified with 0 % shrinkage and the leathers used in production are regularly checked in accredited laboratories before they are used for production. A shrinkage of several percent can lead to a loss of a phalanx or, in the worst case, the entire hand. ESKA regularly checks the adherence to legally prescribed limits with regard to Chromium VI & PH value & additional limits according to the REACH regulation.
